Ernie and his sister, Ella, were among a litter of pups that were born to a very elusive stray dog. Around the beginning of Sept, the mom to these pups appeared at the home of an East Dublin family and kind of left them there. The family took great care of the pups, finding homes for all but Ernie and Ella. As soon as space opened up at SoCo Rescue, we gladly accepted the siblings into our care. During their stay with the family, they were well socialized, started on their house and leash training and given very good care.

Ernie tends to be a little shy at first, but does acclimate very well to new surroundings. While playful and affectionate, Ernie is also very calm, quiet and gentle. He loves playing with other dogs of all ages and sizes and seems to learn new things rather quickly. He's accustomed to staying in a crate and typically sleeps through the night without disruption.

Ernie has received his annual vaccinations, been de-wormed and started on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. He will be neutered prior to his adoption. Ernie will need additional house, leash and basic training.
