A young lady from Macon, GA contacted us seeking help for a litter of young pups. The mom of the pups had been a stray who crawled under the woman's shed and delivered her litter of six puppies. Each day, the mom would venture a short distance from under the shed to relieve herself the quickly return to her babies under the shed. But one day, she emerged from under the shed, started along her usual path but then never returned. By the time were contacted, the puppies, who where only about 2 1/2 weeks old, hadn't eaten in 2-3 days and they had become very weak from lack of nutrition as well as becoming infested with worms and parasites. Once they arrived at our rescue, they were bottle fed and cared for by one of our staff members at her home until they were old enough to eat on their own. Unfortunately, two of the pups didn't survive their ordeal, but the others have now made a full recovery.

This pretty little girl is Dayla and she is ready to share her playful, friendly and affectionate personality with you. She loves to snuggle and give kisses, but what she loves the most is playtime with her human and canine friends. Adopt this sweet girl and watch with amazement as she grows into becoming the greatest dog you've ever known.

As of Aug. 6, Dayla has received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines, been de-wormed and treated against parasites at proper intervals and started on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Dayla spayed at 6 months of age and provide verification of such to our rescue. Dayla will require all of her basic training. She will also need to obtain her rabies vaccination sometime after she turns 12 weeks of age.
