***Adoption Pending .***

While taking her trash to a local dumpster site, a woman noticed a female dog and her four puppies scrounging for food. When she tried to approach the dogs they quickly ran into a drain pipe, which is where this family of dogs were apparently living. The woman could tell that the mom and pups had been there for a while and all seemed very scared of people. After a couple of failed attempts at trying to lure the dogs to her, the woman was able to catch all five dogs with the aid of a couple of dog traps and brought them to our rescue. 

Celia is slowly but surely coming out of her shell and starting to exhibit a desire to be friends with people, especially since people have the doggy treats! She'll do best in a low-commotion home that allows her time to continued to become well socialized towards people.

Celia's life at the dumpster left her with parasites and worms, both of which she's now been treated for. At the time of this posting she's also received 2/3 of her first year "puppy" vaccines with the final round being due on 11/15/20. She's also received her rabies and bordetella vaccines and started on her monthly preventatives. Her adopter must agree to having Celia spay once she reaches 6 months of age and provide proof of such to our rescue.
