**The D Litter will be at our adoption event on 2/7-2/9th at Rosedale Mills in Pennington, NJ  (Dakota, Dani, Darby, Derrick, Dexter & Dupree)**

 

Last October one of our dedicated rescue friends requested help in saving a young female Bulldog mix who was impounded at a local animal control. Passed over by all other rescues on "pull" day, this poor, emaciated young girl was now facing euthanasia the very next day. Her sad eyes told the story of a dog that no one seemed to care for and one who was simply counting down the hours that she had left to live. Our rescue friend had already lined up a foster home and just needed SoCo Rescue to pull and sponsor this dog, giving her a second chance at life. Of course, we were very happy to help.

 

What no one realized was that this girl was pregnant at the time and she delivered 6 puppies a  week after being rescued from her date with death, which meant there were seven lives saved on that cold October morning. Mom and pups all flourished while at the foster home and now these miracle babies are now ready to find their forever homes. From that almost tragic ordeal comes this little pup who we've named Darby.

 

Darby has now received all of her first year puppy vaccines, been de-wormed and treated against parasites. Darby's adopter must agree to having her spayed once they reach 6 months of age and provide proof of such to our rescue.
