**Casey will be available for adoption at Rosedale Mills in Pennington, NJ over the Feb 23-25 weekend.**

Casey and her two companions, Santos and Ivey, were spotted scrounging for food at a local dumpster site. At first we thought these three dogs had just wandered away from their home for a little adventure but after multiple sightings over the following week, it became apparent that these three had been abandoned. After obtaining permission by the county's law enforcement, we set traps to catch the elusive trio and got them to our rescue.

While all three were apprehensive at first, Casey was the first to become accepting of us. She is still a little apprehensive when first encountering new people and things so a bit of patience is needed with her. Once she gets comfortable, she is very friendly and playful, seeming to love the company of people. She also enjoys playing with other calm dogs and hasn't shown any aggression towards our cat. We think she'll do in a home without young children due to her apprehensive nature. Casey would also make a great companion for a retired person.  

Casey has been fully vetted, de-wormed and even tested negative for heart worms. We've also started her on her monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventatives. She has exhibited some signs of being house trained but may need additional training once in a new home. She'll also need some leash training as well.
